Dr. Philip Rabito is a Mount Sinai trained endocrinologist practicing on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai and holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, American Board of Nutrition Support Physicians, and the National Lipid Association. He has been published in articles and book chapters on the topics of nutrition, fitness, and diabetes.

 

Dr. Rabito treats a variety of hormonal disorders including thyroid, diabetes, pre-diabetes, cholesterol, low testosterone, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary disease, hair loss, pituitary, and adrenal disorders.

 

With a focus on wellness and disease prevention, he also specializes in weight loss medicine, general nutrition and fitness medicine. As a triathlete, open-water swimmer and cyclist, Dr. Rabito understands the importance of nutrition and fitness in one’s overall health.

 

From the athlete trying to lose 5 pounds to the obese diabetic patient, Dr. Rabito has had great success in achieving weight loss for his patients by utilizing a tailored and attentive approach to individualized patient care. After a careful interview and a review of targeted laboratory tests, deficient hormones and vitamins are repleted in a safe and evidence-based manner. Dr. Rabito adjusts diets and exercise habits in a comprehensive effort to avoid and treat chronic conditions, control weight, optimize energy levels and improve overall fitness.
